In the present day, Kunjiraman is a successful businessman in Dubai who wants to settle down in matrimony. He comes to Desham to find a suitable bride and meets his cousin Laalu, who works as a barber. Laalu is in love with Kunjiraman's sister Thankamani (Srinda Ashab), but he is afraid to express his feelings. He also hates Kunjiraman for being arrogant and rich.
Kunjiraman finds out that Laalu has been spreading rumors about him in the village and decides to teach him a lesson. He tells Laalu that he has found a bride for him and arranges a meeting with her. However, he secretly hires a prostitute named Salsa (Arya Rohit) to act as Laalu's bride. He also tells Thankamani that he has found a groom for her and arranges a meeting with him.
