The Academic Writing tests consist of two writing tasks of 150 words and 250 words. In Task 1, test takers are asked to describe some visual information (graph/table/chart/diagram). They need to write 150 words in about 20 minutes. In Task 2 test takers are presented with a point of view or argument or problem. They need to write their response in 250 words in about 40 minutes.Below are samples of Task 1 and Task 2. Please note that test takers for IELTS Academic take a different Writing test in IELTS General Training.

Each audio file type has unique benefits and drawbacks. Determine which one is best for specific tasks or situations to save time and reduce stressful errors. Here are seven popular audio file types and some unique differences between them.

Advanced Systems Format (.asf)The Advanced Systems Format (ASF) is the preferred Windows Media file format. With Windows Media Player, if the appropriate codecs are installed on your computer, you can play audio content, video content, or both, that is compressed with a wide variety of codecs and that is stored in an .asf file. Additionally, you can stream audio and video content with Windows Media Services, or you can package that content with Windows Media Rights Manager.ASF is an extensible file format that stores synchronized multimedia data. It supports data delivery over a wide variety of networks and protocols. It is also suitable for local playback. ASF supports advanced multimedia capabilities including extensible media types, component download, scalable media types, author-specified stream prioritization, multiple language support, and extensive bibliographic capabilities that include document and content management.Typically, ASF files that contain audio content that is compressed with the Windows Media Audio (WMA) codec use the .wma extension. Similarly, ASF files that contain audio content, video content, or both, that is compressed with Windows Media Audio (WMA) and Windows Media Video (WMV) codecs use the .wmv extension. Finally, content that is compressed with any other codec use the generic .asf extension. For more information about ASF, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

Advanced Stream Redirector (.asx)Advanced Stream Redirector (.asx) files, also known as Windows Media Metafiles, are text files that provide information about a file stream and its presentation. ASX files go beyond the simple task of defining playlists to provide Windows Media Player with information about how to present particular media items of the playlist.Windows Media Metafiles are based on XML syntax and can be encoded in either ANSI or UNICODE (UTF-8) format. They are made up of various elements with their associated tags and attributes. Each element in a Windows Media metafile defines a particular setting or action in Windows Media Player.ASX files can point to any media file type that Windows Media Player recognizes and supports. For more information about Windows Media Metafiles, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

Windows uses the Wave Form Audio (WAV) file format to store sounds as waveforms. One minute of Pulse Code Modulation (PCM)-encoded sound can occupy as little as 644 kilobytes (KB) or as much as 27 megabytes (MB) of storage. This size of the storage space depends on the sampling frequency, the type of sound (mono or stereo), and the number of bits that are used for the sample.Similar to the AVI and ASF format, WAV is only a file container. Audio content that is compressed with a wide variety of codecs and that is stored in a .wav file can be played back in Windows Media Player if the appropriate codecs are installed on the computer. The most common audio codecs that are used in .wav files include Microsoft Adaptive Differential Pulse Code Modulation (MS ADPCM) and uncompressed Pulse Code Modulation (PCM).

Test takers can practice with interactive TOEFL ITP Level 1 and Level 2 sample questions that allow them to experience the different task types they'll encounter when taking the tests.Level 1 (Intermediate to Advanced)

Experience the look and feel of the TOEFL ITP Speaking test and practice responding to the tasks. Note: The sample test may not mirror the actual testing experience on the day of administration. If you have any questions, please contact your local ETS Preferred Network office.

For an actual music download service, you might offer songs for download as 128 Kbps MP3 files, 256 kbps AAC files (in MP4 containers), or FLAC files, depending on a preference selected by the user. If you need to choose just one format, select one that makes sense given your requirements and the type of audio content being downloaded.

audiowrite(filename,y,Fs) writesa matrix of audio data, y, with sample rate Fs toa file called filename. The filename inputalso specifies the output file format. The output data type depends on the outputfile format and the data type of the audio data, y.

Great question. The goal of this activity is NOT to get the questions correct, instead, the goal is to anticipate the passage. Most of the time, when you listen to a lecture, you just sit back and wait for information. I want you to take a more active approach, to listen with goals in mind. By answering the questions first, you are listening to check your answers, which helps you become more active. It also provides the added bonus of becoming familiar with the question types and typical trap answers in the listening.

If you are taking the IELTS listening practice test offline then you have to download the question paper as well as the blank answer sheet before taking the test. You can write the answers on the question paper using a pencil while listening to the audios played.

In the multiple-choice tasks for IELTS listening, you are given a question with three possible answers. You are supposed to choose one correct answer out of the given options. In some questions, you can also be asked to choose from a longer list of possible answers, and you might also have to choose more than one correct answer.

In the matching tasks for IELTS listening, you are required to match a numbered list of items from the listening audio to a set of options from the question paper. You are marked on your ability to identify and understand the relevant information from a conversation on an everyday topic.

In this category of IELTS listening tasks, you will be shown an image of a map, a diagram, or a plan from which certain graphical elements will be omitted. You are required to complete the image by filling in the missing details and information. Typically, there is a set of options given, and you are supposed to choose the answers from the given list.

In this task, you are given the outline of the listening audio. The outline focuses on the main ideas or features of the audio and you are required to fill in the gaps in the given outline. The outline may be in the form of:

In this task for the listening section, you are given a set of sentences that summarize the key information from the listening audios. Important words or phrases from these given sentences are left out and you are required to fill in the gaps using the information from the listening audio. This task also has a strict word limit and you will receive a lesser score for writing more than the stated number of words.

The short-answer questions in the IELTS listening test require you to read and answer a short question based on the information that is given in the listening audio. In this task, you are not given a list of possible answers, rather you have to create your own responses. This task also features a word limit that needs to be strictly followed.

These sample questions allow test takers to experience the types of tasks presented in the TOEFL ITP tests. They are not intended torepresent the way test questions are presented in the TOEFL ITP test booklets or mimic the testingexperience.

In this tutorial you will download a sample audio file then upload it to an Amazon S3 bucket that you will create. Then you will use Amazon Transcribe to create a transcript from the sample audio clip using the AWS Management Console.

In this step, you will download a sample audio file, create an S3 bucket, then upload the sample file to the S3 bucket. Amazon Transcribe accesses audio and video files for transcription exclusively from S3 buckets.

  • Due to the large number of audio samples on this page, all samples have been compressed (96 kb/s mp3). The uncompressed files are available for download at this repository.

  • Audio clips which correspond to ground-truth data are generated by inverting ground-truth spectrograms.

  • Samples shown here were selected based on diversity and quality. Samples used for quantitative experiments in the paper were randomly drawn.

An import task is a task that imports one or multiple files into CloudConvert for using them in other tasks. Examples for import tasks are downloading files from a URL or a S3 bucket. Imported files are only stored temporary. Export tasks are used to export one or multiple output files from CloudConvert, for example by generating public URLs or by storing them on your S3 bucket. 041b061a72
